Smart Beacon SDK
Blecon provides libraries and an SDK for integrating Smart Beacon technology in to new or existing firmware projects. In many cases, it can use existing Bluetooth hardware and run alongside existing Bluetooth peripheral applications, adding pairing-free cloud connectivity alongside secure identity, location and time services.
The primary Smart Beacon SDK is currently available for Nordic nRF52, nRF53, nRF54L and nRF54H MCUs and supports nRF Connect SDK and Zephyr. We also support the InPlay IN100 and InPlay IN120 for Basic Beacons. We support other BLE MCUs too.
Smart Beacon Firmware
Blecon's provides complete firmware images to enable a standard Bluetooth Low Energy SoC as secure Smart Beacon devices or Bluetooth IoT Cloud Connectivity Modems:
- Secure Identity, Communication, Global Location, Synchronised Time
- Built-in beacon applications and sensor interfaces
- Simple UART API
The Beacon Firmware images are currently available for Nordic nRF52 and nRF54L MCUs, and the InPlay IN100 and IN120. They can be modified to suit customer needs.
Smart Beacon Silicon
The primary Smart Beacon targets supported by the Blecon Firmware and SDK are the Nordic nRF52, nRF53, nRF54L and nRF54H MCUs using the nRF Connect SDK and Zephyr. We also support other MCUs and SDKs.
These chips are available and supported in pre-built certified modules, including the Ezurio BL54L15µ. This simplifies the design of Smart Beacon hardware further.
The InPlay IN100 and InPlay IN120 are supported for ultra-low-cost Basic Beacon applications.

The Ezurio BL54L15µ is a very small module supported by Blecon, and provided as one of our evaluation kits.
