• How does Blecon Track work?

  Blecon Track turns the phones, tablets and handhelds your team already carries into a tracking network. As staff move through the operation, those devices pick up data from Blecon's Asset Tags and route it to Blecon Track, where you see real-time location, condition and what needs your attention.
  

• What can Blecon Track be used for?

  Blecon Track covers asset tracking and condition monitoring for operations where things move and conditions matter. It's used for cross-site and in-transit visibility, returnables and reusable assets, cold chain monitoring and cross-dock and yard management - anywhere assets travel between sites, through partners or in conditions that need to be proven.
  

• How is Blecon different from RFID, cellular and UWB tracking?

  RFID and passive Bluetooth lead on tag cost but need fixed readers at every checkpoint. Cellular and UWB add outdoor or precise-indoor coverage but at significantly higher per-tag cost or with dedicated infrastructure. Blecon is built on Active Bluetooth which combines indoor and outdoor coverage with offline data capture, using the devices your team already carries — so coverage extends as the operation moves, with no fixed infrastructure to install.
  

• Does Blecon need new infrastructure to install?

  No. Blecon Agent runs in the background on the phones, tablets and handhelds your team already carries, so the tracking network is built from devices already in your operation. For fixed locations like storerooms or yards where you want always-on coverage, Blecon Hubs add a small plug-in option, but they're additive rather than required.
  

• How long does it take to deploy Blecon Track?

  Most pilots run in days because Blecon Agent installs on devices your team already uses — no readers to fit, no cabling to run, no workflow change for staff — you Tag the assets, deploy Agent across your devices and start seeing data in Blecon Track. An eval kit gives you everything you need to run a pilot.
  

• Can Blecon Track work without coverage in remote areas?

  Yes. Blecon's logger Tags capture location and temperature data on the Tag itself, so journeys through remote yards, long-haul routes or refrigerated containers still get recorded even when no device is nearby. When the asset comes back within range of a Hotspot either  Blecon Agent or Hub, the full record uploads — you see where it went and what happened to it along the way.
