Visit Blecon at The Things Conference, 2025

We’re heading to Amsterdam for The Things Conference, the world’s largest LoRaWAN event, to share how we’re democratising Bluetooth cloud connectivity.

At the show, we’ll be showcasing the Blecon Network hotspot infrastructure — one that brings true plug-and-play deployment, seamless device roaming, and cloud-native data handling. No complex provisioning and no pairing.

If you're building Bluetooth infrastructure, deploying devices at scale, or trying to bridge BLE and the cloud, stop by our stand to see how we’re making it possible.

Date: 23-24th September 2025

Location: De Kromhouthal, 1021 KP Amsterdam

Booth: tbc

What to Expect

Live Demos

See how the Blecon Hub gateway works out of the box - no need to log into an admin dashboard, register the gateway or pair devices. Blecon has simplified deployment to a single step: connect power.

Meet the Team

Whether you’re a developer, systems engineer, or solution architect, we’d love to talk BLE, infrastructure and the future of cloud-connected products.

New Developments

Discover how our latest updates make it even simpler to connect Bluetooth devices to the cloud.

Bluetooth® technology meets LoRaWAN: A practical guide to hybrid connectivity in IoT products

Wednesday 24-09-2025 11:05
The Things Theater

Bluetooth® LE and LoRaWAN address distinct but complementary connectivity challenges: Bluetooth® technology excels in flexible, low-power applications and seamless user interaction, while LoRaWAN offers long-range, low-bandwidth communication ideal for wide-area monitoring and alerting. But what happens when you combine them?

In this session, we’ll explore how integrating Bluetooth® and LoRaWAN technologies unlocks advanced capabilities such as flexible data delivery, rich telemetry and diagnostics, and simplified device commissioning. Drawing on real-world examples, we’ll demonstrate how hybrid designs can improve device lifecycle management, simplify operations, and enable scalable, efficient deployments.

Attendees will gain insights into:

  • How Bluetooth® technology and LoRaWAN can work together to support a wide range of IoT use cases
  • Using Bluetooth® technology for tasks like OTA updates and commissioning, and LoRaWAN for low-latency data delivery and alerting
  • Architectural patterns and implementation strategies for hybrid IoT devices that optimise for coverage, power efficiency, and deployment simplicity

Bluetooth Beacons are Back!

Tuesday 23-09-2025 15:05
The Things Forum Two

After Apple’s launch of iBeacon in 2013 and Google’s response with Eddystone in 2015, you’d be forgiven for thinking not much has happened in Beacons. Or perhaps even that they have had their day and faded away.

But Bluetooth Beacons have quietly become one of the most widely deployed technologies for connecting the physical and digital worlds. They underpin ever more enterprise systems that demand reliable visibility of assets, people and environments.

And they are getting smarter and more connected than ever before.

This talk will look at how they have evolved, from the early days focused on retail and UX (Simon worked with the Google team to develop and launch Eddystone), to modern tracking networks, to what is coming next. Join us to discover why Bluetooth Beacons are one of the most successful growth stories in IoT, and what they are now becoming capable of.
